Mile -/- And We’re Off!

The last two days have been spent heading to the border!

Yesterday we woke up in Jackson, CA, and spent the morning double checking everything was set to go.. Swift accidentally drank hydrogen peroxide (I could add a whole other story here)   and scared me half to death (he felt pretty sick but is doing much better now). Swift’s father Whitney and his sister Janna gave us a ride to Stockton where we took a train to Bakersfield and a bus to LA.

We had a terrific time in LA eating Korean BBQ with Buckeye’s Brother Mike and learning more about how to use our Iphone.

This morning we caught a metro to 7th street in downtown LA, ran like lunatics to catch a bus and made it to the Greyhound where we are now rolling past Oceanside on our way to San Diego.

The terrific Trail Angel Halfmile will be taking us to the start this evening and we start walking tomorrow!
